Bhutan Retreat, October 2025
Why Bhutan?
Bhutan, the last Himalayan kingdom, has preserved its culture and environment in a way that feels rare today. The air is fresh, the forests untouched, and the valleys surrounding the Sanctuary are rich with natural beauty. For many, Bhutan offers a chance to step away from busy modern life into a place of nature, simplicity, and meaning.
What makes Bhutan special?
Bhutan measures progress by Gross National Happiness, valuing well-being over wealth. Monasteries are centuries old, locals wear traditional dress daily, and by law at least 60% of the country must remain forest (currently closer to 70%). People, culture, and nature exist in harmony here—making it truly one of a kind.
What can I expect on retreat?
You’ll stay at the Bhutan Spirit Sanctuary, a luxurious yet traditional haven. Days include yoga, meditation, and sound sessions, alongside nourishing local food, nature walks, and time to simply rest and reconnect—at your own pace
How will I feel afterwards?
Many leave Bhutan with a lighter mind, a clearer heart, and a lasting sense of renewal and connection.
What’s the easiest way to travel there?
Fly into Paro International Airport, with stunning Himalayan views. Connections are available from Bangkok, Delhi, Kathmandu, and Singapore. We can also arrange transfers to the retreat hotel (extra cost).
What is the daily itinerary?
There are a 2 classes daily, morning and early evening yoga, as well as a sound bath some evenings before bed to support your sleep and some breathing and meditation workshops during the late morning, before lunch to help restore and nourish the nervous system and balance the mind.
Can I come alone?
Absolutely! Many of our guests travel solo. It's a lovely way to meet new people, make meaningful connections, and feel part of a community.
Do you care for people with special dietary requirements?
Yes, the food will be vegetarian, fresh, healthy and nutritious and we will do our best to cater for dietary requirements, like gluten free,
Delicious food is one of the highlights of this retreat, and we make sure that all dietary needs and allergies are taken into consideration.
Can I share a room with someone else?
We’d be happy to arrange this, although most people joining us on their own seem to like their own room. We normally put people in a shared room if they’re traveling together and request it specifically – friends, siblings, couples etc. However, if we do have requests from two people traveling on their own who would like to share, we can put you two in a shared room.
