Mastery Over the Mind
Online Kundalini Yoga & Meditation Class
Sunday 14th March, 7pm EST / 4pm PST
Through the practice of Kundalini Yoga we begin to gain mastery over our mind. One effect of this is our ability to break the cycles of pain in life that come from reactions, emotions, fears, and the games our minds play. In Kundalini Yoga, we train our brain through physical and mental practices: mudra, mantra, postures and breath, creating more inner stillness and awareness.
To gain control over the games of the mind, we need to understand how the brain and the mind interact. There are certain kriyas and meditations in Kundalini Yoga that affect different areas of the brain differently, depending on what meridian points are being activated through movement, mantra, mudra or breathing. Sometimes we feel discomfort and at times it could even hurt, however we have a choice as to how we experience it. We often cause our own pain by our emotional reactions to life and a failure to control our thoughts.
Join Kathryn as we explore techniques to gain control of pain and experience kriyas and meditations to balance the brain.
